Does the flag fit the flagpole?

A classic example of not only failure—but refusal—to think ahead: How can you half-staff a 30 ft. x 60 ft. flag on a 100-foot flagpole?  Obviously, it can’t be done.

September 11—Patriot Day—is a day the flag is to be flown at half-staff. What do you supposed they will do at this car dealership?

They should have used the 20% rulea flag’s hoist should be 20% of the flag pole’s height.  On a 100 foot pole like this one, a 20 ft. x 38 ft. flag (or a 20 x 30) would be the right size.DKH_17
