Scouts salute flag at Gerald R. Ford Museum

Field Reporter DaveJ, filed this story today from Grand Rapids, MI. where Boy Scouts pulled an all-day salute of the American flag. Quite an impressive feat, I must say.

GRAND RAPIDS — Boy scouts and cub scouts will participate in a community “Scout Salute” at the Gerald R. Ford Museum in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001.

The event began at 7:16 a.m. (sunrise) and will conclude at 8 p.m.

During this time, scouts, along with local firefighters, police officers, military personnel and veterans will hold a constant salute to the American flag.
